TAMA After School Martial Arts Program (TASMAP) Launched

Dayton, Ohio September 19, 2016 – The TAMA Kettering After School Martial Arts Program (TASMAP) has launched today – The Kettering Board of Education have partnered with TAMA Martial Arts Center in the “After School Martial Arts Program”. It is a great activity alternative to daycare providers. TASMAP provides transportation from Kettering Schools and other surrounding schools to the martial arts studio.

Kettering TAMA After School Martial Arts Program (TASMAP) emphasizes the structured martial arts curriculum, personal development, valuable life skills development, discipline, confidence, respect, and integrity. Watch these kids transform themselves through martial arts training taught by Grandmaster Taningco and his staff of instructors.

Grandmaster Taningco, now in his 40th year anniversary in providing martial arts education in the greater Miami Valley area is still very active in teaching the youth and adult classes. He had started the “After School Martial Arts Activities” in 1976 when he was hired by the Montgomery Recreation Dept. He taught at Clearcreek Elementary in Springboro to Ida Weller Elementary Schools in Centerville and to most of the Kettering Elementary schools to Wright Brothers Elementary Schools in Huber Heights and Mad River Schools. Taningco has also worked with YMCA, teaching the first ever after-school martial arts program and martial arts summer camp 40 years ago.

This year, Grandmaster Taningco step-up to the plate and decided to offer transported martial arts program with the help of “Daystar In Action” providing the transportation it needed for helping these kids develop their sense of confidence and security being able to defend themselves and increase awareness in themselves.
