Master Taningco is a Certified Kempo Jiu-Jitsu Instructor
under Master Gasper, Dan Zan-Ryu-Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Ancso. He is also
trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Filipino Dumog ground-fighting.

Combining a blend of techniques from these grappling styles,
TAMA's Grappling and Submission Fighting class is one of our most exciting and
popular. The students learn actual Jiu-Jitsu and Judo throws, break falls along with ground fighting as we would call it. We teach two
styles of grappling, traditional with the Jiu-Jitsu uniforms and the modern
Sport Jiu-Jitsu with grappling shorts and shirts. The Students are taught the
Art of Practical combative Jiu-Jitsu and Sport grappling in preparation for the
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) competitions. The classes includes extensive
conditioning along with Standing and Ground grappling techniques.
In addition to our regular Grappling classes, TAMA is also an affiliate of
Luiz Palhares, one of the rare individuals given the rank of 6th Degree Black
Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After training with the legendary Rolls and Carlos
Gracie, Luiz Palhares began training under the undefeated Rickson Gracie, (who
is said to have over 400 fights with one disputed technicality). He received his
brown and subsequent ranks of Black Belt under Rickson. At TAMA we offer regular
seminars from Palharez.
